PAUSE

At the centre of your being
you have the answer,
you know who you are
and you know what you want.

I have everything I could ever want, but I don't think I know who I am! I'll keep furrowing for the centre of my being if the answer be there!

"Pause" is a good word. That's the action I took yesterday and it paid off.

A pause is always a good choice. Specially on a misty day in the meadow.

lovely, lovely photograph...
and yes,
ain't that the truth, zen master (i assume that person who said that was. i know exactly what i want and TW said it for me:

Heavenly Grass
Tennessee Williams

My feet took a walk in heavenly grass.
All day while the sky shone clear as glass.
My feet took a walk in heavenly grass,
All night while the lonesome stars rolled past.
Then my feet come down to walk on earth,
And my mother cried when she give me birth.
Now my feet walk far and my feet walk fast,
But they still got an itch for heavenly grass.
But they still got an itch for heavenly grass.

who I am is constantly changing, what I want changes, too...isn't that the way life works?

I'm tempted to tread out the old cliche, if you haven't got want you want you must want what you've got, but it's too glib.
Hope your search is a fruitful and satisfying one; travel hopefully, Hhb.

He also said;
"Blunt the sharpness;
Untangle the knots;
Soften the glare;
Let your wheels move only along old ruts"

Which ain't a bad philosophy for a gentle life.

I have always enjoyed the Tao Te Ching, but for a really modern, humorous and understandable version, Ron Hogan's takes some beating:

"If you can talk about it, it ain't Tao.
If it has a name, it's just another thing.
Tao doesn't have a name.
Names are for ordinary things.

Stop wanting stuff. It keeps you from seeing what's real.
When you want stuff, all you see are things.

These two statements have the same meaning.
Figure them out, and you've got it made."
