MEADOW
I thought that on leaving the UK, to live in Australia, I would probably never see a meadow again. Paddocks surely, but not a meadow full of grasses and wild flowers. Yesterday, I found myself sitting in the sunshine, surrounded by white waving flowers.

Our local bush park was celebrating Spring. The men on mowers seemed to have forgotten to visit this month and the grass, that is usually cut so short had been allowed to grow.
Dog wandered off to explore and I decided that sitting in the sunshine was the perfect way to spend twenty minutes. Better still was laying back, jacket under my head and watching clouds scud across the sky above me. The Grass Trees were in bloom, flower spikes entwining and their long needle thin leaves rattled in the breeze.

Dog returned from his wanderings, wet from the creek and panting. Realising there would be no stick throwing at this point, he lay down next to me and I swear he was grinning.

Sensible dog.

The grass tree always wiggs me out because they look like overgrown worms. :*) and the Dog looks so Happy. Happy Spring
Beautiful pix of those pretty white flowers, and they're growing in such profusion! I'm wondering what they are...
The grass tree too, is something I've never seen nor heard of!
Beautiful!
God, that grass tree photograph is wild! I've never seen these before. Looks like dancing snakes against the sky!
Spring in W.A. - I remember it well. Especially the Spring Flowers Festival in King's park, Perth.
I guess this must be the best time of your year?
