JOURNAL

A coldish day - the fire lit at 3.30pm. I watched as fire caught at kindling. Listened to little cracks and pops as flame reached bubbles of eucalyptus gum in the wood.
The Bear rang tonight at 7.15pm. He described the night sky in Port Hedland. Seeing '.....from horizon to horizon, a thin sliver of moon and acres of Milky Way.'
It struck me when I put down the phone that Love is this.
Telephoning your Beloved as you walk under a night sky hundreds of kilometres away from home, because you want to share an experience. Knowing, just knowing that your description will be appreciated and the need to share it understood.

Sounds like a lovely evening, together yet apart, sharing the moment.

Thanks for visiting my blog and your comment. i'm afraid none of us is prepared for the lack of water the coming times may bring. Using your dish washing water is great. I even save water I've cooked pasta in to water plants after it's cooled.

Hi Her.....I always marvel at couples who are connected like this. I have not had this in my marriage and I wish like everything that I did. I think going into marriage you often do not know exactly what you are getting. I know that I didn't. I have stuck with it, but there will never be sharing a sunset together, because he can't leave the TV long enough to enjoy one.

So this kind of made a lump come to my throat,
